It's that time of year again when you start seeing crazy people running around in the freezing cold getting themselves ready for the Hastings Half Marathon! And guess what.....were going to have a bash at it as well!

To help raise money for the club myself (Larry) and Paul are putting together a team to take part in the Hastings Half Marathon and the idea is to push Izzy and Josh around in their wheelchairs.

Hastings Half Marathon

We are looking for anyone that wants to take part in this event; you don't have to be a prime athelete to be part of the team, (God knows I'm not;) you just need to be over the age of 16 and for a bit of alugh in the process! If your interested please contact me (Larry) or Paul, so we can get t-shirts and other bits and peices to be sorted.

Me and Paul are planning to setup a 'training' jog this friday, with the starting point being at Paul's house. We will be starting off small-ish in distance at first, and will build up from there. If anyone wants to come and train with us or even want to come for a jog please feel free too, the more the merrier!

If you wanna come train or just come for a run, myself & Paul will be going for a run at 8ish from Paul's house!

**UPDATE**A new avatar systerm has been added to the site. This will allow people to add an avatar/picture to their account. This is a test to see how the systerm goes on the next few weeks**

Along with that a bunch of new dates have been added to the calendar (on the left, under 'Resources') with most of details along with them. There's also a few adult competitions I've added to the calendar as well!

Also on a little side note, at some point (I'm not going to specific as it's a case of when I have to time to finish it) there will be a new a theme or two added to the site for you're veiwing pleasure, along with more pictures, vids, games etc.

Results added:

16/07/11 - High Wycombe Grading

08/10/11 - Kyu Grade Cup

Happy New Year to all and welcome back, we hope you've all had a great Christmas and New Year and are ready to come back to judo to burn off all that FOOD that you've eaten over the holidays!!

Now, cast you minds back to just before the kids party and you will of heard Deb say that she was gonna do karaoke at the Kid's Christmas party, but there was a no show from her! Thankfully though we managed to catch her giving her all to Katy Perry's Firework and then to top it off, got a couple of others up to sing Sandy from Grease.

What we have got for you here is the 'Westerleigh Factor' staring Celo Sands (left) and Miss Match (Right), Enjoy!

Black belt

What an amazing week the club has had, and where to start!

Let's start at the beginning; on the 4th I (Larry) went off to undertake my Dan theory test in Amersham and I'm very happy to say I passed with very high marks. 150 was the minimal pass mark, 210 was the highest and I came away with 194!

Also the club has made it's mark in Judo and Special Needs with Paul helming a '7 years in the making' agreement between the BJA and SOGB. You can read up about the agreement above this article!

Alsolympic-torcheso along with that we've had FOUR members of the club selected to be torch runners next year, and when you consider that thousands of people got nominated and we have four of them, thats an achievement of its own! Now, for the moment at least, I'm not able to divulge the details of whos been selected as a Governing Body have stated that local press etc wont be told till sometime next year, but if you've been to the club over the last week you will probably know anyway! If anything changes I will post the names up.

And if anything else could happen, Holly has been elected onto the East Sussex Youth Cabinet following the Big Vote 2011 election

Phew!!! think thats all, as always results are pending, and will be up 'soon.'

Good news! 'Theme' selection is making a return to the site. Since the redesign/update of the site back all those months ago I've been waiting to get into a position with the site to put the customisation back on for users to use.

Basically users will be able to pick out of the couple of designs in the 'Choose Theme' for the site to load up through; just like it originally was!

I'm 'hoping' to have the 'Choose Theme' module up over the weekend along with at least one other theme but will shall see. All I'll say thats whats on the cards next for the site and will be sorted soon!
