Westerleigh Boasts Four Torch-bearers
From tens of thousands of nominations, came 8000 Torch-bearers, incredibly four of which are members of Westerleigh Judokwai Hastings & Rother Special Olympics GB!
Paul Everest, Rupert Mitchell, Daniel Robinson and Holly Tadman have the honour of representing their Country and County carrying the Olympic Flame during the London 2012 Olympics.
Rupert and Daniel will both carry the flame in Worthing, with Paul carrying the flame in Bexhill and Holly in her home town of Hastings.
All nominated, independently through different channels, members of the same club, finding out that not only has their dream come true but, that amazingly they will be able to share the experience with not only their families and friends but, also share this once in a lifetime privilege with each other and all their friends from Westerleigh.

Follow their experience on our website and although each one is busy fund raising themselves, however, should anyone feel they would like to help sponsor the purchase of their flames (£215 each) please make cheques payable to Westerleigh Judokwai and send to 6 Asten Close St Leonards on Sea East Sussex TN38 8DJ.

Results and a round-up
The Results page has now had all the results from an old backup restored, with a few hand written to come either later today or tomorrow.
As I stated on Facebook, with the Charity Ball just round the corner I'm taking a step back from the site to focus on getting things ready for that, and also the Inter-club competition.
When things quite down again for me I will have a better version of the Judoka page live, the Member's Area will have all the past videos and photos re-uploaded along with new ones from last years camp, and in the near future, a brand new theory page that will break down all techniques for Mainstream and Special Needs.
Inter-club Competition 2012
We have our annual Inter-club competition coming up on the 10th June, at Claverham. It's for all members of the club, and it's great place to start if you want to get an idea of what it feels like to be at a competition.
The competition form can be downloaded here; I will make it easier to access, but for the time being the link to the left shall do. Look forward to see you at it!!
Sports Misson - Westerleigh Judokwai
Cast you're minds back to the beginning of the year and you'll remember that we had a group called Sports Misson come down and do a peice on the club and more specifically James Everest about how judo has helped him and how the club moved to teach Special Needs kids Judo. Below is the finished product from that day, enjoy!
